Match Result, Best performance in the Match and Highlights of Perth Scorchers vs Otago Volts CLT-20 :

 

One of the strongest contender of this year Champions League is Otago Volts as they supreme their command in the first match of the main stage competition of the Champions League 2013.

 

The match between those two teams were dominated by the Otago Volts as they thrashed out the Perth Scorchers. Earlier the toss won by Simon Katich the Perth Scorchers Captain and he decided to field first.

 

The wicket was good to bat on but the Otago Volts openers cannot able to gave a good start for their team and they lost both the openers with a score of only 9 runs.

 

At that time the Otago Volts were in a trouble.But after that there were complete dominace of the Otago Volts batsman as they beated every bowler.

 

Neil Broom scored a unbeaten century and Ryan Ten Doeschate score a half century and with the help of this they managed to score a massive total of 242 runs with a loss of 4 wickets in their 20 Overs.

 

In the bowling department for the Otago Volts not much to talk about . Joel  Paris was the successfull bowler as he picked 2 wickets.

Now there was a huge mountain to climb for the Perth Scorchers team and they had to score with a run rate of more than 12 runs per over.

 

The start of the Perth Scorchers team was not good as they lost early wickets . They lost first wicket as the score was 0. They lost three top batsman in just 15 runs on the board.

 

The Captain of Perth Scorchers Simon Katich was  run out as he not opened his account. There was a fighting innings by Adam Voges but he was unable to got out the team from the trouble situation.

 

At the end they managed to score 180 runs with a loss of 6 wickets in their 20 Overs.

 

This means that Otago Volts won the match by 62 runs and this was a huge victory.

The opener of Otago Volts  Hamish Rutherford  and Captain Brendon Mccllum was got out quickly.

 

Neil Broom and Dareek De Boorder handle the situation well and make a good partenship.

 

Neil Broom scored an unbeaten century of 117 runs with just 56 balls in which he hits 9 boundaries and 8 Sixes.

 

Dareek De Boorder scored a good 45 runs in only 28 balls and he hits 5 boundaries and 2 sixes.

 

Ryan Ten Doeschate played a superab innings and scored a very quick 66 runs in just 26 balls and he hits 3 boundaries and 6 sixes.

 

In the bowling side Joel Paris picked up 2 wickets and giving 50 runs in his 4 Overs.

The captain of the team Simmon Katich got out on duck.

 

Adam Voges and Hilton Cartwright played with control and got a good Partenship. They both played well.

 

Adam Voges scored 36 runs  and he hits 5 boundaries and Hiton Cartwright scored 47 runs and he hits 4 boundaries and 1 sixes.

 

Ashton Tunner scored  unbeaten 69 runs and he hits 4 boundaries and 2 sixes.

 

In the bowling department for Otago Volts Ian Buttler was the pick of the bowler as he picked up 3 wickets.
